Hi there! I have almost a decade of experience looking after children from newborns to 10 years old. This experience includes caring for autistic children, which involves careful attention and awareness of over-stimulation, and requires patience and care to help the child get through meltdowns or difficult decision-making. Various tasks I have experience with in childcare include: changing and feeding, meal preparation and planning, bedtime preparation, arranging transportation, help with reading and schoolwork, and cleaning. I love to foster children's interests and talents, and can plan lots of fun day trips or home-bound activities depending on what your child's into. I have been working as a cook for the past few years so I am accustomed to working with allergies and preferences, always follow proper sanitation procedures, and know how to make a tasty meal! Are your children artistically inclined? Would they like to learn some new skills or explore creative outlets? I have many years of experience as an illustrator working in various mediums and would love to pass on my skills. I have also been teaching myself how to play guitar and speak Spanish, and while I am by no means fluent in either I would love to pass on what I know. Outside of Childcare, I have experience in housekeeping in homes and retirement residences, and in looking after various pets including: cats, dogs, birds, rats, rabbits, and guinea pigs.
