Nanny in Victoria, British Columbia

Hello! My name is Kate and I am currently seeking a part time nanny or mothers helper position in the Victoria area. My experience is with children aged 3 months - 10 years old. For two and a half years I worked full time as a nanny for two kids now ages 4 and 9. After the youngest started day care I started with two different families who both had 3 month old babies and I worked with them for over a year before taking some time off. I still keep in touch with almost all of the families and the time I have spent with these littles is something I will always cherish. I am just about to make the move to Victoria and would love to connect with some families in the area. At the moment I can commit to part time hours. Just a little more about myself, previous to my nanny career I was working as a kindergarten teacher in south Korea for 2 years. I came back to Vancouver to further my education, and am currently pursuing a second Bachelor's degree in psychology. I am also currently in the middle of completing a certification to become a Post-Partum Doula. I would say my greatest skill when it comes to kids is my ability to turn any activity into a game. I also like to think of myself as resourceful and love to come up with last minute craft projects or other creative activities. My child care philosophy is to create a safe and comfortable space where the child can learn, grow and express themselves freely!! If given the opportunity I would be honored to assist you with caring for your children. I would be more than happy to do some light housekeeping on top of it, as well as meal prep, pet care or whatever else you may need a hand with!
