Hi there: I am Kausalya Sankaran RECE. I am from India and I am a vegetarian. I worked in several daycares and my last employers were Sentient HR Agency. As an educator I used to prepare and set up activities for children that cover cognitive, gross motor, fine motor, emotional and social areas of development. I used to go out with children to parks and nearby playgrounds, play with children and watch them as they played by themselves. I like reading out to children and telling them stories. I used to help children keep up their schedules. I learnt South Indian music for a few years at home. So I can sing to children. "Listen to the horses clipping clopping" Can you hear me? That is my favourite song. The melody of this song sounds like one of the Indian ragas. When a child is entrusted with me, I try and understand the child, find the child's interests, h's (h stands for his/her) needs and abilities and work along with h. I guess I am basically a teacher and I believe babies need to start schooling soon after they are born. I was in Houston from January till the first week of March, 2016 with Kapila, my daughter and Kano, my grandson. I came to know about Magda Gerber from Kapila. Gerber was an Educarer and she did a lot of work with babies. I would say Gerber worked with babies with love and great care and educated them taking their cues. Kapila is an ardent follower of Gerber and a fabulous mother and music teacher as well. I like reading books. Now I am translating children's books into Tamil for my grandson. I have also typed out a story about Kano and saved the script which is titled 'Where is Kano?' I love to go back to school What would you want me to do as a prospective employer? Would you want me to educare your children? Would you want me to help with gardening? (I need directions here). Would you want me to do household chores? Would you want me to cut veggies? Do laundry?
