My name is April Lopez, I am a registered nurse in the Philippines, in Saudi Arabia and in Brunei. I was an Emergency Room nurse who handles many kinds of emergency and non-emergency cases of children (ER Pediatrics) and as well as elders. Each patient should be treated holistically and with different kinds of approach in able for a nurse to render her care and intervention. In connection to being a nanny, childcare is a unique task depending on the condition and requirements in meeting the daily needs of a child. I am trained to deal with different kinds of situations and scenarios for me to achieve a care plan that will benefit the child as well as the whole family. I have a training in first aid and basic life support which i think is very important when there are emergency situations. Child care training and Child development is also part of our curriculum back in my college days and still very useful during my work as a nurse in ER pediatrics. We also have this called child milestones which is a norm or stages of a new born to its growth that is significant to know. It can be a guidelines in child development as a whole person- physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, morally and spiritually. When it comes to tasks at home and outdoor activities, I am very flexible and resourceful as well. I can also multitask on doing some household errands and do some household managements. Common Tasks and Responsibilities that i can do are: -bathing babies and older children -changing of diapers -grooming and hygiene care -dressing appropriate on child's activities -planning of beneficial and nutritious food for children -washing and ironing clothes -shopping for children's needs and requirements -coordinating and scheduling of child's activities -Driving or transporting children on school and other places they should be. -undertaking and assisting on children's educational and appropriate outdoor activities. -implementing child's daily routines and making sure that safety is always ensured -tidying up children's playroom and bedroom -reinforcing appropriate management and discipline with parent's consent -light housework and running outdoor errands I am a very dedicated person and a perfectionist when it comes to my work and responsibilities. i can finish task quickly yet nicely done. I am also willing to learn a lot from from this work and from the people around me. I will try my best to meet the expectations of the family that i am working with and will make sure that they will get a great quality of care.
