Nanny in Hamilton, Ontario

Hello! My name is a Kayla Ritchie, I am 27 years old and I have a diploma in Early Childhood Education and a degree in Early Childhood Leadership. I've always worked with children of all ages through my high school years through babysitting, doing children birthday parties, and being a camp counsellor. I've dedicated a lot of my time to teaching underprivileged children abroad in Colombia as well as through an international placement in India during college. With all these experiences, my love for working with children has grown. When I finished my diploma program at George Brown College, I was recommended by a teacher for a teaching position in China at an International George Brown Lab School. I spent two years working in the toddler room as an English teacher following a play-based curriculum. I am very passionate about children learning through play and I believe it is important that children get optimal learning opportunities through their interests and exploration. I have an outgoing, fun and energetic personality which is why I've always worked well with children. I am very interested in the way children learn which always gives me a great challenge as an Educator to find the best and unique way for each individual learner. I most recently finished a masters program and am looking for a full-time job in my field of work, however, during this process I am looking for an occasional/temporary position working as a nanny! I am very flexible so I am open to any type of requests if we make a good match, as well as can provide references of families that I have worked with in the past using this platform! I care about the families I work with a lot, so I must be clear that this will be a temporary position for a family who perhaps needs immediate care while they look for a full-time, long-term nanny.
