I am a certified life-guard with current first-aid and CPR, experience working with children in a multitude of ways: as a Nanny, a youth worker and an Assistant Director for a children's camp. I keep working with children because I love working with children! It's a role where you are able to have fun along with the kids! But, I also get to watch children learn new things, get excited over a big (or little) event in their life and do something positive for the life of another person. The boys were a joy and we spent lots of time playing soccer at a nearby park. For a 5 year old girl, and occassionaly her older brother. We colored together and I read stories, helped her with her homework. I also have professional experience as a youth worker for children, from infants to age 11. Working with children who had been abused or neglected and taking them on outings in the community, as well as supervising them in their care home. I have experience working in a group home, supervising up to four children or teens at a time as a group home worker. My experience in these roles has included taking children on outings, supervising activities, planning exercise and fun outdoor activities for children, meal preparation and some minimal cleaning duties.
