Working with children as a camp counselor for 2 summers changed my life. There is no greater reward for me than to inspire children, make them laugh, and keep them safe. I feel like I learn just as much, if not more, from children as they learn from me. After working at camp, I have had a great interest in continuing my work with children. I am finishing up my undergraduate degree this June and come the fall or winter I plan to continue following my dream of working with children by moving to Taiwan to teach English to kids. It would bring me great joy to spend my summer taking care of your children and ensuring that they are safe and happy. I began babysitting and received my babysitting certification in my early teens. I have experience babysitting for children between the ages of 3-years-old and 10-years-old. I also worked for 2 summers as a camp counselor, responsible for caring for children between the ages of 7-15 years-old around the clock 5-6 days per week. As a counselor I was responsible for caring for between 5-20 children at a time on my own and many more with the assistance of co-counselors so I can handle pressure well. I also have a brother who is 8 years younger than me who I have watched over and provided care for throughout his entire childhood life.
