Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are a French family arrived in Toronto 1 year ago, looking for a sympathetic, energetic, playful native/fluent English speaking nanny for taking care early evening of our son and our daughter, aged almost 9 and almost 7. The position starts September and is up to July Expected schedule : 5 pm to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The hours could be more if you agree to perform additional house keeping tasks, it could be then 3:30 to 6:30 pm. We would like you to pick up the children from the school bus at 5 pm, support/supervise them for the home work; engage with them to help them improve their English and gently play or propose art craft – lots of material available home! Since our children have long days, it’s also okay sometimes to just let them play or read on their own in the house or backyard. He is a passionate reader and a creative Lego builder, she is a very productive craft artist and excellent rope jumper ;) Tasks also include light housework such as cleaning the kids lunchboxes, tidying up toys and games with them;, reminding them to shower; occasionally take them to activities or play dates, and visit playground when weather permits or the library. We live in Bloor West village between Jane and Runnymede TTC station; the schoolbus stop is close to Jane and a 5 min. walk to home. We usually come back around 6:30; 7 pm the latest. There will be a few times we will need full day care on PA days. French language skills are appreciated but not required. We are a non smoking home, have no pet as of today but may adopt a cat soon.
