Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

We are looking for an experienced live-out nanny to care for our 8-month-old daughter (she is sweet, smiley, chatty and energetic) ideally starting summer 2021 on a full-time basis (can be flexible on start date). We are also hoping to do a nanny share, so looking for someone who is interested in caring for 2 babies! We live in Mt Pleasant (2 min walk to Broadway/Main) and would host at our place. I’ll be working from home and ideally would like to work from 7AM to 3PM. We are looking for someone who is reliable, open-minded, energetic, and enjoys the company of a baby (and toddlers)! Ideally, we are looking for a nanny to grow with our family over the coming years. Scope of role: • Full-time hours (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs & Friday 7-3PM). Flexible on time. Live-out. • Crafting a routine that is engaging, safe, and fun that includes daily activities outside – rain or shine (e.g. park outings, walks and later on, picnics, community centre playtime, etc.) • Preparing healthy lunch and snacks (light preparation) • Cleaning up after baby • Putting baby down for naps • Communicating with parents any concerns, ideas, developments Requirements: • 2 years experience in childcare with infants/toddlers (required) • Interacts with children respectfully and with kindness • First aid & CPR training (we are willing to support you in updating credentials if needed) • References and criminal record check • Non-smoker • Bonus: familiarity with RIE/Respectful parenting; ability to commit to a long-term position to grow with our family Compensation • Competitive salary, 2 weeks vacation, and sick days
