Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

We are a professional working couple looking for a Nanny to care for our daughter (age 7). Option to either live-in (furnished bachelor suite with separate entrance available) or live-out. Willing to sponsor under the Live in Care Giver program provided the candidate is currently residing in Vancouver, Canada. We reside in the Dunbar area of Vancouver, BC. We require someone Monday to Friday; part time or full time. Preferably we are looking for someone seeking a part time position to provide after school care until 6 pm with ability to provide more full time care during school break times (ie Christmas break, Spring break and summer vacation). However, we certainly will consider a full time position. Responsibilities will include: picking child up from school, taking her to after school lessons or other activities, arranging, planning and taking her on outings during school breaks (e.g. to the park, play dates, outings, etc.), reading to her, assisting with some homework, playing with her. Also prefer someone who is okay with doing some housework and laundry. We are a laid back, flexible and accommodating family. We are seeking an out-going, social, mature, responsible, patient and caring individual who will provide a fun, save and social environment for our daughter. At least two years of previous experience required. Must be fluent in English (reading and writing). CPR and/or First Aid and a post secondary education are an asset. The candidate must be okay with dogs. Start date is preferably October 7th but we are flexible. The hourly wage is negotiable depending on level of experience and special skills.
