Wanted: Autism Therapist for 7 year old High Functioning boy. Energetic, playful, creative, mature, reliable, and open to feedback: These are the qualities for success in our program. Our Intensive Multi-Treatment Intervention (www.....ca) directed by Jonathan Alderson (author, Challenging the Myths of Autism) combines play-based strategies with IBI and other educational approaches. Successful applicants must have elementary teaching experience, a Teacher's College or an ECE Diploma. This is a part-time position (9-12 hrs/wk: Ideally to cover 3 afternoon x 3hr sessions and one morning session) Therapists attend a mandatory bi-weekly Thursday morning training too. These trainings provide valuable top-level professional development and autism therapy training in the multi-treatment approach. The team is very positive, supportive and encourages open communication. Expectations include reliability, consistent energy, and positive-hopeful attitude toward change. Therapy is located in home in Etobicoke. Wage is $25.00 per hour. Candidates willing to commit for at least a year will be preferred.
