Dear Sir or Madam, My name is Honeylet Vinluan, I am a live-in elderly caregiver working in Israel for more than 7 years now. About My Experience: I started my career in care giving in 2007, I took care of 82-year-old lady named Bronia Anisfeld. She is a lovely and sensitive woman, and she lives alone in Tel-Aviv, Israel. She had dementia. I supervised her and helped her to perform all daily activities. I was responsible for housekeeping. I also did house chores: cleaned the house, cooked meals for the lady, and ensured that she had her medication on proper time. I accompanied her to doctor's appointments or in case of hospitalization. We also did some exercises to maintain mobility like walking etc. We usually talked about the good and funny memories of her life. I help her to put her make-up and to put her favorite color lipstick. In 2010 I was hired by Mr. Cohen. My duties are focused more on personal care like bathing, prepare his favorite polo and pants to wear, cook nutritious meals for him, ensure that he takes his medication on proper time. We talked about his past and enjoyed the conversations especially when he mentioned all his activities and achievements in life at his young age. It was so amazing and interesting, and for that I had a high respect for him. We went to supermarket once a week, close to his apartment. I provided as much help, attention and care to him as possible. My services were curtailed because he needed extensive professional medical care. I performed same duties with my employer named Carola Calderon. She was 82 y.o., suffered from Dementia and lived alone. It was very important to follow the medication schedule for her, so my duty was to ensure she takes the pills on time. I also helped her with bathing, grooming, changed the diapers. I gave her my attention and care whenever it was necessary. I also ran the household About My Approach in work with the Elderly: I usually apply my knowledge on elderly psychology. I have the ability to assist, to handle and deal with them in case of depression. Ask, talk, give opinions in a nice way. To enjoy and be interested in talking to them about their past and good memories. About My Attended Trainings And Seminars: I attended Caregiving NC-II, as assesed under the TVET Qualification and Certification System, and according to certificate I am qualified to do the following: 1. Provide care and support to elderly people 2. Provide care and support to people with special needs 3. Maintain healthy and safe environment 4. Provide care and support to children I also underwent Guardian Angel Skills Training,Inc.(TESDA TVET no.06130520...) Household Services NC-II; where I successfully passed the following disciplines: 1.Geriatric care 2. Practicing occupational health and safety 3.Responding to emergency 4.House cleaning 5.Providing food and beverage services About Myself: I am 35 years old, not married, healthy, I have no illnesses, I do not smoke. I am a cheerful person, God fearing, caring and loving. I like music and to learn something new. My Future Plans: I want to work in Canada as a caregiver because I want to share my experience and it is a unique opportunity to work in Canada according to the program for caretakers.
