Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Hi! Our names are Michelle and Matt, and we have an 11-month old son named Theo. We co-parent and we both work full time, so we're seeking a daytime nanny in East Vancouver, BC. We have part-time daycare already (M,T,Th), but we would like to hire someone for Wednesdays and Fridays, ~9a-5p, to take care of Theo while we are at work. The nanny can work from our home, but we do not have living space to offer (it is a studio apartment with a loft). We live in the very walkable, family-friendly neighborhood of Hastings-Sunrise (near Nanaimo & Hastings). Our place is small but has a large penned play area with toys and such. Theo loves age-typical toys such as picture books, stuffed animals, and mirrors. He is a very cheerful baby, already sleep trained, and goes down for two regular naps per day (around 9:30 and 2:30). Because he's already in daycare, he is comfortable with people other than us. Days can be spent in the apartment, and/or at the nearby library, play cafe, community centre, drop-ins/strong start groups, or parks. We have two small, friendly dogs. The dogs typically will not need care during the day, but they do love to cuddle, and might appreciate the occasional short walk in good weather. Theo is an enthusiastic self-feeder and eats most everything (while donating some to the dogs). Meal times are mostly finger foods plus milk. We use cloth diapers (all-in-ones & pockets), and have laundry in the unit. We would like someone willing to do light meal prep only for the baby (such as washing and cutting fruits), and to do diaper laundry as needed. Otherwise: we are not looking for major housework, just keeping the apartment neat by picking up after activities through the course of the day. We are also potentially interested in occasional babysitting on nights or weekends by our nanny - but if this is not your preference, it's no problem. We can discuss this possibility as it arises and if it's of interest to you. (No pressure!)
