Nanny Job in Ottawa, Ontario

OVERVIEW: Our live-out nanny will provide full-time care to our joyful and fun-loving daughter at our home in the Westboro/McKellar Park area of Ottawa, Ontario. The successful candidate will be kind, responsible, honest, trustworthy, creative, upbeat, and able to start as soon as possible. Both mom and dad are working from home, and we are taking COVID-19 precautions very seriously. We are seeking someone with a similar level of COVID consciousness so that all will feel comfortable and safe. RATE OF PAY: Negotiable (up to $20/hour based on qualifications and years of experience, plus additional perks). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Childcare for toddler girl, typically during the hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (with possible additional or overtime hours as requested). - Organize and supervise activities at our home, local parks and other COVID safe locations. - Prepare and serve healthy snacks and lunch. - Diaper changing and potty training. - Putting toddler down for one daily nap or encouraging quiet time for approximately 1.5 hours daily. - Light housekeeping duties as time permits. - Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: - CPR and First Aid Certified. - A passion for childcare and fostering positive, healthy childhood and language development is a must. ECE or equivalent qualifications are an asset. - Vulnerable sector check and references will be required, along with proof of up-to-date immunizations.
