DEAR FAMILY! My name is Tomasz Zając. I’m from Poland in the Middle Europe. I am writing this cover letter to apply for the Nanny/Au Pair/Private Teacher Role. I would like go to Canada, live there and work. My English is not perfect, especially I'm not English Native Speaker and in my country we don't use English daily. As an experienced postgraduate in Sociology with an academic background built on a Journalist and Communication degree and experience in various roles in customer focused environments and business oriented organizations in the past eight years, I believe that I more than satisfy the basic criteria required for this job role. I have excellent written and oral communication skills and I am an excellent communicator, currently working in the promotion and advertisement department in a University in Poland, I use my skills to communicate with the clients and use the gathered information to re-engineer the processes and improve it to make the business efficient and effective. From 2008 to 2011, I worked in two different studios and did some freelancer jobs. Besides producing professional photos and films or articles, I was also in charge of sales, customer service and promotion events. This experience has not only instilled some traditional business lessons in me but also enabled me learn about the nitty-gritties of the challenging business environment and how to cope with the change in the current fast paced business environment in a sustainable and profitable way. I have developed a concrete understanding of the customer facing front of the business such as the marketing sales consulting, professional service and maintaining and optimistic and productive climate, etc. I consider this as one of the very foundations of the customer focused business strategist in me. From 2011 till 2014, I was doing many casual jobs from magazine worker to antique trader. Those jobs require a high level of oral and written communication skills and I have demonstrated my flexible ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to adapt quickly and to act quickly and effectively when required. As most of the jobs required new skills, this indicates my ability to adapt and learn quickly to new environments and challenges. And I have developed a broad understanding of running different types of business. I was working in a University in Poland. The job required interacting and liaising with various other departments within the University and outside organizations including student recruitment and marketing. The job also involved working with the students and that helped me with my customer care skills. I have also worked in Shanghai/China in 2014-201... as an English teacher/nanny. This demonstrates my ability to present efficiently and to train others, convey complex information in an easy to understandable way. I consider myself as a confident user of Information technology and I am a highly skilled use of various software packages including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project, etc.) and have made use of software such as Photoshop, etc. I also possess basic knowledge in health and safety, Data protection and Equal opportunities and I am always committed to personal development. I am also very confident in working independently without close supervision and have demonstrated my ability to effectively achieve the required outcomes during various occasions throughout my professional career. As part of my past work experience, I have regularly demonstrated my ability to meet tight deadlines and to receive, understand and convey complex information in a clearly understandable and accurately written way; especially with course works that were specifically intended at Executive audiences. I have scored very well on such assignments and have been appreciated for my efforts. While being a very supportive and team oriented person, I am also a person of high moral and ethical values, the values that I have inherited from the mixed cultural background from my country has also provided me a philosophical and rational outlook which helps me work very effectively even under pressure. I was (and will) always be the first person to step in to help other colleagues whenever they require (d) help and has been appreciated for my flexibility. I also understand the importance of communication within a team and do ensure that everything is communicated clearly and effectively to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the team. I consider myself as an international person and my experience as a teacher in the Shanghai, China has provided me with ample opportunities to develop my skills to work in a diverse environment and adapt to challenging and new environments swiftly and efficiently.
