tbd My most recent experience is with a troubled 6 yo girl. Mom had gone "through" a few child-care-takers who attempted to force the child to do as told. At first I had no idea of the problems. This child refused to bathe, wash her hair, or COMB it. Of course I am successful with this child. her parents call me Mona Poppins. Additionally her teacher complemented me on the difference I was making on the child's life. Having a happy child who knows they are loved is what I provide, the rest sorts itself out. Turns our this child is hyperactive yet exceptionally logical. We have lots of fun. I've taken care of other children from time to time. Some more difficult then others. what is different now is my patience, and ability to watch and find out and use how they see what is happening around themselves as the playground for communication. It works.
