Tattoos - Taboo for Nannies?

Back in 2009, I received a question from a parent who had found what appeared to be the perfect nanny, but had several tattoos on her arms and back of her neck. This parent was concerned about the impression this would leave on her children, and wondered if the tattoos represented anything about the nanny.
What do you think? Do you think a nanny should miss out on a job opportunity because of the tattoos and/or placement of the tattoos she's chosen to get on her body, or should it not matter? What is your opinion of tattoos in a nanny job? Do you think it matters, or would it be something you would look past?
