Nanny Job in Ottawa, Ontario

Caregiver needed to provide support to disabled adult and her son (14 years old). Personal care primarily provided by CCAC three times per day but may require occasional assistance with personal care and transfers (with lift). Main responsibilities and duties include (but not limited to): - meal planning and preparation - assistance with feeding - grocery and errands - house cleaning and laundry - assistance with exercises provided by OT - perform occasional transfer using lift (training to be provided) - assistance with scheduling of doctor's appointments and other appointments. - overall well-functioning of the house Terms of employment: Permanent Minimum of 30 hrs/week Option to work as independent worker or employee (with full benefits) 12:00 to 6:00pm Monday-Friday (Fixed schedule) Possibility of additional hours on weekends Requirements: - Previous experience in providing support to people with disabilities and/or as caregiver - Ability to work independently with no supervision - Able to keep household organized - Some previous experience or training as a personal care worker or nurse an asset - Must demonstrate initiative, flexibility, honesty, understanding and caring Must be able to provide three references.
