Nanny in Langham, Saskatchewan

I am a student currently living in Manitoba, and will be moving to Saskatchewan for the summer. I have completed a 4 year Bachelor of Arts Degree at Brandon University in the Psychology program in April 2018. Currently I am in my first year of a 2-year after-degree program to get my Bachelor of Education degree, with the goal of getting my Masters of Education in Guidance Counselling. Although I am returning to Manitoba in the fall, I am looking for summer employment in Saskatchewan as I will be living in the Langham area. I am very comfortable around and working with children of all ages. I have been living in Saskatchewan for the past 6 summers while working throughout my summer break. The family that I have been living with is a very busy family, and on top of my other summer employment, I take care of their three children part time as part of our living arrangement. The general duties included in that have been providing them with snacks and meals, transportation when required, light housework, age appropriate play and learning, and care and safety, while promoting healthy living and an active lifestyle. During the school year I have been working for a company which provides care and support for people with a mental disability. My duties as a direct support worker are to provide support to the individuals physical and psychological well-being. Promoting and supporting psychological well-being is something very important to me and something I strive to do throughout life. Throughout high-school I was active on a few high achieving volleyball teams, both at the club and school levels. Teamwork, communication skills, hard work, dedication, and healthy active living were developed, emphasized and followed on a daily basis. These essential skills have become second nature to me as I continue to expand as a person through my life experiences. I am a quick learner that is eager to get the job done in a safe and orderly manner. I can quickly pick up and follow the family routine, while being cognizant of instilling your family values. I have the ability to get along well with children and can provide a fun, organized, healthy, and safe environment. I am able to organize and provide a wide range of activates, including learning, sports, and play. I am comfortable taking children out for activities including, but not limited to, swimming, museums, walks, parks and playgrounds. I am happy to prepare and provide the children with snacks and meals, tidy up the house and yard, and any other daily tasks needed. As I am hoping for a job working with children, I believe a nanny position would be a great opportunity. I am looking to further my studies in the field and eventually find a career working with and helping children, and a job where I could do that while helping children have a fun, active summer would be a great opportunity and fit for me. I have my First-Aid, including CPR, which was just updated in October 2017. I have a Manitoba Child Care Assistant Certificate.
