St. Cuthbert’s is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated part-time Nursery Coordinator to develop, plan and implement a nursery program for the infants and toddlers of our parish.
Qualifications Required:
•Passion for working with infants and young children
•Education/training or experience in child/infant supervision, ECE is an asset
•Exceptional communication skills and teaching skills
•Knowledge of Christian education
•Ability to manage volunteers and work as a team member
•Good organizational and time management skills
•Dependable and trustworthy
•Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate
•Ability to work as a member of a team
•Ability to work Sundays
Position Responsibilities:
•Develop, plan and implement a nursery program in consultation with the Family Ministry Coordinator
•Recruit, instruct, schedule and supervise volunteer nursery assistants as required
•Provide appropriate supervision of infants during church services and church events as required.
•Communicate and liaise with volunteers, parents, wardens and incumbent
•Ensure that toys and nursery supplies are clean, safe and appropriate and that the nursery and family space in church are both safe, clean environments for children, visitors and families of the parish
•Plan and lead nursery meetings and training, as required
•Develop protocols and procedures in consultation with the family ministry coordinator.
•Communicate and liaise with ministers, wardens and parents
•Other duties as are mutually agreed upon
Additional Information: Successful candidates will be required to undergo Police Reference Check and participate in the Diocesan Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training.
Salary: $16.00 - ... per hour based on experience and qualifications
Job status: Part-time, 5 hours/week, 4 hours on Sundays 7:45am-11:45am plus one additional hour mid week to prep and communicate with volunteer team. Additional hours may be given during start-up, end of year and liturgical feast days.
