Nanny Job in New Westminster, British Columbia

We are looking for a babysitter to care for our kids after school.  We have 2 kids - our son is 10 and our daughter is 8.  We also have a friendly and lovable 12-year-old chocolate lab, so you have to be comfortable around dogs.  We live in New Westminster, BC. Our son is super active and athletic.  He is very high energy and we work with him to help manage his focus and energy.  We are able to help him successfully navigate obstacles by giving him reminders and activities.  He does have a propensity to have great focus, too.  His plays organized lacrosse and soccer and loves to swim. Our daughter is our cautious child.  She loves to read and do art projects.  She's also quite a character - enjoying singing and dancing around the house. She just recently learned to ride a 2-wheeler and is enjoying getting practice. She also loves to swim. We are looking for part-time, after-school care for our kids. We prefer 5 days per week, but if you can only do a few days, we can discuss. Occasional full-day care (for Pro D days) would be great too! You will need to pick up the kids from school and babysit until we arrive home. Babysitting duties include helping kids with homework, providing snacks, supervising occasional play dates and bringing the kids to after-school activities. For this reason, a driver's license is necessary. Ideal candidate would be a mature student who may be studying Education or Recreation Management with previous childcare experience. Reference, Drivers abstract (if applicable) and criminal record check required. Position is open and available to those that have a valid open working permit, Canadian Citizens, landed immigrants or students with a working permit.
