Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

Hi folks! I recently read that the hiring of "mannies" is on the rise, as our society has become more open minded and less concerned with gender roles. So, if you're looking for a positive male role model/influence in your children's lives, I'm the "manny" for you! About me: I am a friendly, easy-going, reliable guy, and the proudest papa of a 7-year old boy. I recently graduated from teacher's college, and I am currently licensed to teach intermediate/secondary (7-12) grade levels in Ontario. I have a few passions in life, and one of them happens to be youth development/education. I have significant experience working with special needs children as well as adults, and I have most recently been employed as a program coordinator and team leader with Achieva Educational Services – where I helped develop and lead an after school program for children from grades K-6. Prior to that, I was an educational assistant with the Toronto District School Board, where I assisted students with developmental and intellectual challenges. These experiences have, thus, allowed me to pursue my passion of teaching and youth development, and I have been fortunate to do so in diverse and multi-cultured environments. Along with my experience in behavioral aide, I have previously volunteered with Special Olympics Canada, Canada World Youth, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada – which gave me an opportunity to be a positive role model for multiple children and youth.
