Nanny Job in Kelowna, British Columbia

We are a family that lives in the Upper Mission / Kettle Valley Area that is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and nurturing individual to help with our childcare and household needs. We are a household of two children (3.5 year old and 2 year old), who are both enrolled in an ECE school full time, so we do not need care during these hours. The primary role and responsibilities we seek are someone who can help with: - General childcare duties - Light housework, however we have a housekeeper that comes once a week, so we would only require light maintenance items - Taking care of the two small dogs - Grocery shopping - Preparing dinner and cleaning up (we are on Good Food meal kits, so this makes it quite easy) - Occasionally driving the kids to and from their ECE school - Occasional overnight stay A preferred and typical schedule would be as follows: - Arrive at the family home for 7:30AM on Monday, Wednesday-Friday - Help get the kids ready for school and breakfast if required (the kids have breakfast at their ECE if they arrive by 9:15AM) - Occasionally take them to school (maybe once per week at most) - Once we are out of the house, you could spend an hour with any light housework required (making the beds, dishes, laundry). Or alternatively, return to the house at 3-3:30PM to do this - We would be back with the children at approximately 5PM - Help prepare dinner, welcomed to join us for dinner, help with cleaning up after dinner - Bathe the children if required - Typical schedule would be 2-hours in the morning and 3-hours in the evening - We also would have a spare room in the home if you wanted to spend the night, versus driving back for 7:30AM Pay will depend on your experience. What we are seeking in an individual: - A valid driver's license, with a reliable vehicle. If you do not have a reliable vehicle, we could potentially provide one although this is not preferred. We will provide a family vehicle with two car seats if you are required to drive the children. - A clean criminal record check (at our expense) - Patient, nurturing, yet assertive when needed - Experience with nap time or sleep training is an asset but not required - Experience with meal planning and preparation is an asset but not required - Teaching swimming is an asset but not required - The ability to travel with us is a bonus (we own a waterfront property in the Shuswap also), but also would look to travel to places like Cabo San Lucas, Las Vegas, California. - We are seeking something long-term, as we do not want to switch within a few months or after a season
