Nanny Job in Hamilton, Ontario

Hi Nannies! I am currently seeking a Nanny to maintain a safe and healthy environment in my personal home, to tend to the emotional and physical well-being, serve nutritious meals, organize activities such as games, art work, and creative play - keep records of daily activities and health information, help with wake-up/bedtime routines, tidy, clean and help with household duties and meal prep. Hours and Days will vary from week to week but Nanny will not be required on Saturdays or Sundays. The care and well being of the children/dogs is priority #1. I have 2 young children and 2 dogs. The eldest child will be attending Kindergarten in September. This Summer we are working on pre-school preparation. In September the Nanny will be required to help with school drop off/pick up and then watch the younger child while the eldest attends school. Our family is seeking a dedicated, engaged, professional, warm and creative Nanny who can make a long term commitment our wonderful family. Job Requirements: Must have childcare Experience Active and Engaging Passionate about childcare Professional - reliable, punctual, excellent communication skills Own vehicle required Need to provide at least 2 references Must provide a Criminal record check Must provide a CPR and First Aid certificate Non-smoker Must be Eligible to work in Canada Fluent in English Duties: * Childcare and supervision of 1.5 and 3.5 year-old children and two family dogs to occur in employer’s private residence * Responsible for feeding, bathing, dressing and putting child to toddler for naps * Preparing and serving nutritious meals for child * Engaging in learning and play activities in the home * Taking child to and from scheduled activities, and organizing outings * Tending to emotional well-being of child and supporting child’s social development * Light housekeeping, cleaning and tidying duties related to child * Maintaining safe and caring environment in home * Taking child to and from appointments * Performing other related duties as required Education, Experience and Skills Requirements: * Completion of Canadian high school/secondary education or equivalent * Some first aid and CPR training, or willingness to obtain, is preferred * At least 6 months of training or at least 1 year of full time paid employment as a nanny/caregiver for a toddler age child or in a related field of occupation * Must be able to communicate effectively in English * Must be able to work independently in an unsupervised setting Personal Skills: Reliable, trustworthy, warm, calm, good interpersonal and communication skills.
