Seeking Part-Time Nanny for a curious, active 6 month old who loves learning and outdoor activities! Primary focus is on Child Minding with particular emphasis on Educational/Growth Activities. TORONTO, ON Looking for a live out nanny - part-time (immediately). Will be looking for full-time come January 2017. PART-TIME NANNY Looking for a part-time nanny to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for a 6 month old (DOB Feb 2016) to thrive. Preference for help during week days (likely 2 a week), and occasional demand for an evening or weekend shifts. (In January, we will be looking for Full-Time, and are open to this being the same person, but recognize this may mean it is PT for one person now through December, and a different person may be required for the FT role come January) Candidate should have First Aid and CPR training (or willingness to obtain), a criminal background check, and strong Canadian references. Communication (reading, conversation and overall literacy) is so important in the early years. The ideal individual is someone with excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language. This is also a critical time for other key areas of development: critical thinking, music, vision, movement, emotional intelligence and security. We are looking for someone who is nurturing, creative, energetic, outdoorsy and active to foster this development. We are also looking for someone who believes that good manners are taught by example. The primary responsibility is absolutely the infant's stimulation, care and well-being, however light housekeeping and meal prep may be required, only during times when the baby is at rest. Early Childhood Educator preferred. Drivers license an asset. Located downtown (west end). Easily accessible by transit. Please contact us with rate expectation if you feel you are a good fit. Introduce infant to activities, games, songs and toys aimed at physical and cognitive development Plan and manage outings and activities targeted at providing stimulus, growth and development (ROM, AGO, Early Years Centre drop-in), park, aquarium, library, etc.) Oversee infant's social, emotional, and physical needs Talk to infant in order to facilitate relationship building, increase vocabulary and strengthen communication skills. Primarily in English. Second language of French or Spanish highly desirable. Communicate with parents regarding progress or problems. Other duties include very light housework and/or meal prep.
