Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

Our ideal nanny is someone* who... - is seeking longterm work and wants to be part of our family - can begin in november or december - will provide a supportive and nuturing environment for our infant (he will be 6 months old in november and has been with his parents exclusively prior to this) - would be willing to take on a second child if and when our family expands - is enthusiastic about providing a range of regular peer socialization opportunities in the neighbourhood - is trained in early childhood education and enthusiastic about infant and toddler development - has at least five years experience with infant and toddler care - is trained in first aid and CPR *driver's licence is an asset *willingness to do light housekeeping is an asset Logistics: - both parents in our household work full-time and we are seeking someone 8am to 6pm** five days a week (there will be at least 30 mins crossover with us at the beginning and end of the day) - we have two large friendly dogs, who are generally low maintenance ** an earlier end-time of mid-afternoon twice a week may be possible (to be discussed). About us: - we are late-30s devoted parents of a sweet natured and active baby - we do not have a strict parenting philosophy, but much of what we do is similar to attachment parenting (lots of cuddles, baby wearing, breastfeeding, etc) - what is most important to us is that our child feel secure and loved and has caregivers he can bond with and rely on - we want our tiny human to be whoever he is going to be, but we hope to help him be confident in himself, and empathetic and respectful of others - we seek a nanny who shares our childcare values and will be our partner in helping our child through his early years.
