Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Hi! We are two families in the Fairview/False Creek area looking for a long-term nanny starting in September for our two boys, ages 1 and 2 (as of September). We need care 4 days per week, Tuesday-Friday, from 8:30-4. The share will be mainly hosted at one family's residence on a live-aboard sailboat in False Creek (right by Granville Island), with some days at the other family's apartment near Hemlock and 10th. If possible, we would love a nanny who is able to start part-time (a few hours a day ~3 days/week, give or take) with the younger child (now 9 mos) over the summer, in order to acclimate him to a new caregiver (schedule for this over the summer is totally flexible). We are laid-back, reliable folk and we value the same qualities in others. We are looking for someone who is energetic and excited to take the kids outside and on adventures around the community, or to Science World, or the Aquarium. We have an electric bicycle for moving the kids around the city, which past nannies have used daily! The primary host family also has a lovely dog, who needs the occasional walk. We think hands-on learning, climbing, and getting mucky are great, and we hope you feel the same way. Ideally our nanny would have experience on or around boats, and should be comfortable on the water and a strong swimmer. We expect to continue the share for the next 3 years, and are looking for a long-term caregiver. Spanish language skills are a plus! Salary in the ballpark of $22/hr.
