About Me: Hello my name is Heidi Landon! I am searching for a child carer employment opportunity in Arnprior, Ontario. I am a concurrent education student at Queens University, going into my third year. I have experience working with children, and it is by far my favourite way to spend time! I have taught swimming lessons at the Nick Smith Center in Arnprior, worked as a lifeguard at 5 Star Camps in Carp, and also worked as an Educational Assistant at multiple elementary schools in Arnprior. I am living in Arnprior for the next four months and I am eager to further my professional development as an aspiring music/math teacher by getting experience working with children. My schedule is very flexible. My lifeguarding/CPR C/AED certification was administered to me in June 2018, and my standard first aid qualification is as recent as November 2016. These certifications were scheduled to be renewed this summer but since the pandemic have been rescheduled to later dates. Services And Training: I will take care of facilitating educational activities, as I am in the process of completing my Bachelor of Education degree at Queen's University. I am a musician and a member of Queen's Dance Club, so I love to entertain and teach music, dance, and other arts. I am a certified lifeguard (recert is required June 24 2020) and I have experience teaching large swimming classes, so I can confidently supervise swimming as well as teach water safety. Further, from teaching large classes and working at camps, I am very comfortable working with multiple children at once. I have over 3 years of experience working as a lifeguard, and I have been babysitting, pet sitting, teaching guitar lessons, and helping out around the house since I have been 13!
