Nanny Job in Guelph, Ontario

We are seeking a nanny for Mondays and Tuesdays from 8am-4:30pm from January through July (we can work with only Mondays if preferred). We have a delightful 14-month old boy who is cared for by family members throughout the rest of the week. Unfortunately, due to some health issues, we have to amend the schedule! Our child still consistently naps twice a day (10am-12pm and 3pm-5pm) and is at his best when his schedule is followed. Therefore, we are looking for a nanny who will be able to work with his schedule. He is mostly happy playing at home but loves going outside for walks (especially rides in his push car). He is very curious and mobile (has been walking for about 2 months). He has a naturally happy demeanor and though all children have their moments, he typically does not get upset or react dramatically to things. We do have a small Bichon Frise who is very friendly. She will not require any additional care other than being let out to the backyard a few times per day. It is also required that she is placed in her crate if you are leaving the house. We would also ask that when our baby is napping, our nanny put the water dish back on the floor (we have to lift this as our toddler loves to play in water!). Our ideal nanny would have a positive attitude, be approachable and engaging. They will be willing to get down and play with our boy (and willing to make car noises!) and encourage him to learn new skills. They will have a healthy balance between being laid-back and knowing when to step in. Our nanny must be fluent in English. First Aid and CPR certification is an asset. Knowledge of baby sign language is also an asset. If we are able to find the right fit, it would be wonderful if the nanny was occasionally available during an evening.
