Nanny Job in Burlington, Ontario

Hi there! After two years with a wonderful nanny who has elected to pursue an opportunity overseas in the fall, we have begun our search for a caring, experienced, and engaging live-out caregiver to help make life a little easier for our busy family of four, including two children, a girl (7), boy, (5), and a small super-cuddly dog (13!). Working hours would be M-F from approximately 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Key duties include before and after-school school drop-off/pick-up, child care, meal prep, and light housekeeping. As this position involves driving, it is essential that you have your own vehicle. This job may also include periodically managing the bed/bath routine as well as occasional overnight work if that is of interest. While we are hopeful that in-person schooling will resume in September, it is possible that this role may evolve to a full-time 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. position, with duties expanding to include supporting both children through online learning. As such, an ECE or educational background considered an asset but is not required. This is a long-term position that is planned to start in late summer/early September (when mutually agreeable) and we are looking for someone who is committed to staying with us for a while. If you have experience working with busy families with young children in a similar role, know your way around a kitchen (i.e. starting a simple and/or pre-made meal), and can provide much-needed light housekeeping support (i.e. tidying up, unloading the dishwasher, putting away laundry we can never get ahead of, etc), we'd love to hear from you!
