Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

We are seeking a part time (Thursday and Friday) live-out nanny to take care of our energetic and inquisitive son beginning in October. You will be taking care of one boy who turns 3 in December. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, responsible, flexible, caring and child-focused. Candidates should be willing to foster and encourage development through play, exploring the outdoors, crafts, music and any other creative ideas you bring to the table. Our little one also needs someone who will set boundaries in a firm, yet loving way. If you're open to it, minor housework (during nap time) and meal preparation (ie. lunch preparation and starting dinner) would be wonderful, but the main focus of this position is caring for our son. Preferred hours are 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays every week. We also have a friendly dog, so you need to be comfortable around medium-large dogs, but her care is not part of the requirements. The position is located in central Lonsdale, however we would love someone who is open to traveling to take advantage of activities and programs for a fun and engaging day. You should also be able to travel to Lonsdale Quay to meet us at the Sea bus when required. Public transit is acceptable.
