I'm an
Individual
Dear host family,
It is my great pleasure to introduce myself. My name is Lin Peng and I am from China. I’m 27 years old and I had one year of full-time paid work experience as an au pair in America.
I have never been to Canada yet but I’m looking for a Live-in, Full-time (at least 30 hours per week) and Long-term (1-2 years) childcare job in Canada to apply for an Open Work Permit (with a LMIA exemption) from outside Canada through Home Child Care Provider Pilot.
According to Home Child Care Provider Pilot (launched on June 18, 2019), employers will no longer need a LMIA before hiring a caregiver from overseas.

🚩 LANGUAGE
Mandarin: PSC Level 2-A (87.4% correct)
English: IELTS Score 6 (CLB >5)
I have a PSC Certificate that shows my Mandarin Level is 2A, which means I’m qualified to teach Chinese to speakers of other languages.
🚩 EDUCATION
Master in TCSOL — Chongqing Normal University (September 2014 - June 2016)
Specialized in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages
B.A. in TCFL — Qufu Normal University (September 2010 - June 2014)
Specialized in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language
🚩 TRAINING
First Aid & CPR
Child’s Safety & Fitness & Development
Driver’s Safety in America
Before working as an pair in my American host family, I had online au pair orientation as well as 3 days of New York training related to First Aid & CPR, Child’s Safety & Fitness & Development and Safe Driving in America through my agency Au Pair in America.
However, I would like to get a CPR certificate as soon as possible if it’s required.
🚩 AU PAIR WORK EXPERIENCE IN AMERICA (June 2017 - June 2018)
I took care of two little boys, baby Harold (2.5 years old) and baby Jackson (1 year old), together in the absence of their parents and taught them Mandarin and English.
I used to work 45 hours per week. My normal schedule was from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday, sometimes on Saturday or Sunday also.
My responsibilities for the boys were including:
— Making them food, usually breakfast and lunch, sometimes dinner also.
—Changing diapers for them, dressing them and putting them to bed for naps, sometimes giving them baths.
—Reading them books, drawing and doing learning activities with them as well as teaching them Mandarin and English.
—Taking them to the park every day and the library twice a week and nearby Farmers Market every Tuesday.
—Encouraging them to share toys and play together nicely with friends and keeping them safe.
—Watering plants and making cookies or cakes with them sometimes.
—Going to the grocery store to buy milk, bread, vegetables and fruits for the boys. Doing their laundry and helping them to keep their room clean.
—Doing light housework and keeping the house clean.
—Helping the host mom prepare dinner sometimes.
—Traveling with the family sometimes.
In spite of taking care of the kids, taking them to the park & library and teaching them Mandarin & English everyday, I used to prepare dinner and go to the grocery store as long as it’s required. What’s more, I also did a variety of light housework to keep the house clean, like doing their laundry and taking garbage out twice a week.
🚩 OTHER ACTIVITIES
I like sports and outdoor activities, such as walking, badminton and bicycle. I also enjoy traveling, cooking, singing and playing piano. I go to swim in swimming pool sometimes.
I also have learned some Chinese cross-stitch and calligraphy. I would like to share with your family if you are interested in Chinese art and culture.
🚩 OBJECTIVE
Last but not the least, my objective is to look for a host family who would be able to offer me a Live-in, Full-time (at least 30 hours per month) and Long-term (1-2 years) childcare job so that I can apply for an Open Work Permit (LMIA-exempted) from outside Canada through Home Child Care Provider Pilot. I would need some related sponsors (offer of employment number, single bedroom, flight ticket etc.) as well.
I’m eligible to apply for an Open Work Permit as soon as I get a valid job offer since I already have all the documents required. Normally the processing time of a Work Permit is 2-3 months.
I’m kind, sweet, patient and reliable. I love children very much and have sufficient childcare experiences so you can trust me that I can take good care of your kids. I would really appreciate it if you could give me such a great chance to work for your family!
Yours truly, Lin
