I was previously enrolled at the University of Waterloo studying: Marriage and Family Therapy, as such, I have an extensive background in childcare techniques, conflict resolution, and family dynamics. I also spent time at Fleming College in the Social Service Worker program. My other certifications and skills include; CPR-C, First Aid, St John's Ambulance Babysitting Course, NLS (lifeguard) training, WSI (swim instructor) training, 6 years of competitive swimming, High Five (principles of healthy childhood development), C. A. T. C. H. (coordinated approach to child health), and over three years of child-care experience in various family homes and city run day-care programs. My work experience is not only substantial but diverse; I have worked as a program facilitator/counselor at East View Boys and Girls Club, babysat regularly for families in my hometown, and spent many hours caring for my sibling who is seven years younger than myself. During past employment I was able to help with homework, do light house work, cook, take children to extracurricular activities, facilitate games, supervise swimming and connect with children ranging form 3-13 years old.
