About ME… I am a registered Early childhood educator with nearly 20 years of experience working with children as a caregiver and educator. I have a university degree (Bachelor of Arts) majoring in Sociology and psychology from Concordia University. I worked in event management for many years prior my decision to go back to school to get my Early Childhood Education Diploma from George Brown College. I have plenty of experience working in the feild as a Nanny/caregiver as well as an educator in daycare/preschool, after school care and “forest school” settings. I have learned a tremendous amount about working with children both indoors and outdoors. I truly love what I do and I am so grateful i have the education, skills, experience and personality traits to have a meaningful career in early childhood education. As a teacher, I am always eager to engage with the children and to find ways to enrich their play and learning experience based on their interests. I love program planning and I value the opportunity to make learning fun. It is of utmost importance to me that every child feels safe, secure and loved in my care. I am an extremely open and honest person. Open lines of communication, mutual respect and understanding are fundamental to me in any relationship whether it be professional or personal. As a caregiver, I value the opportunity to bond with my coworkers, children and families as a valued member of the gang. I am looking for a position with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Pay is negotiable based on the job requirements.
