Nanny in Salt Spring Island, British Columbia

Hello! My name is Emily Payne, and I'm a professional nanny with over 10 years of full-time nannying experience currently looking for new babysitting clients as I have recently moved over to Salt Spring to be closer to my family. Right now, I'm available for evenings and weekends as my work schedule allows for it. I petsit as well and love animals, I also have lots of experience in property management and overnight pet sitting. I have 10 years of full-time Nannying experience for five separate families. I have extensive experience with younger children, from ages 6 months to 8 years old, but have experience with kids of all ages. I grew up babysitting my two younger siblings and plenty of regular babysitting work around my neighbourhood! I am fluent in English (my first language) as well as in French and have my double Dogwood High School diploma. I completed 2 years of study in Early Education at Capilano University before accepting my current full-time job at Canuck Place Children's Hospice. I also currently hold my ECEA in AMI Montessori, Responsible Adult certificate, and am certified CPR-C (Professional Childcare certification). In my past preschool experience, it was 50% indoor learning and 50% outdoor and I have loved all the outdoor time and love to incorporate outdoor nature activities when appropriate. I'm great with kids and love working with them. Growing up with numerous ages in my neighbourhood and household gave me a lot of experience with children starting at ages 6 months and upwards. I began babysitting at the age of 12 and haven't stopped since (I'm now 30 years old), I have now been babysitting and working with children for over 10 years and have loved all the opportunities it has given me. I love to organize fun and unique activities like scavenger hunts or trips to the space center. I am always up to go outside rain or shine, or do art projects, etc., and regularly come into work with a plan for the day and different activities we could do. I am a big animal lover and have been a pet sitter for the same amount of time as I have been a babysitter. With all the fun components that come with my job, I am also an expert at organizing a household. I am very familiar with meal prepping, planning, and household chores that keep a household running efficiently and as stress-free as possible for all family members involved!
