Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hello families! My name is Freya and I am seeking a nanny position for a family in the new year. I hail from New Zealand and currently live in North Haven with my husband. I have permanent residency status. - I am looking for a short-term, part-time position (Mondays and weekends) from approx. January 3rd to February 20th 2023. I understand that this is a limited time-frame, however, I am constrained by the commencement of an overseas internship opportunity. I have completed short-term positions in the past. I find that I learn the ropes quickly and create strong bonds with the family and children rapidly. - I have previous experience working as a short-term Au Pair in London, as well as providing afterschool, holiday and babysitting care. In the past, I have cared for boys and girls between the ages of 8 months to 8 years old. - My favourite fun activities to do with kids include getting outside for a walk or ‘mucking around’ in the garden or park. I’m very energetic and can play for hours but equally enjoy curling up on the couch to read a story aloud. I have a Master of Wildlife Management degree and I love to get kids excited about science and the natural world. - I value strong communication with parents, I ask questions if I’m unsure about something. I’m very patient with children and never raise my voice. I also show my respect by providing my full attention, no scrolling on my phone!
