Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

HI there! We are looking for an honest, proactive & compassionate person who loves to cook. We are wanting someone part-time to come alongside us and help improve the quality of our family time. ABOUT US We are a caring family that lives in Edgemont. Our son is 8 years old (going into Grade 3), our girl is nearly 5 (going into Kindie), and we have a sweet-natured rescue dog named Lily as part of our tribe. We love mountains, forests and rivers, skiing, travelling, the Arts, good food, family dance & trampoline parties, and generally hanging out as a family. RESPONSIBILITIES - Meal Preparation clean up (2 times per week) - Light Housekeeping (tidying, organizing, etc.). We have cleaners that do the big stuff. - Laundry (generally once per week) - Groceries and errands, and pick-ups / drop-offs as requessted - Gardening & yard maintenance (if you are so inclined) - Anything else you are willing to do to help improve the quality of our family time. SCHEDULE Ideally, we are looking to have someone join us 3 days per week (Tue, Wed, Thu) in the late afternoons to early evening for general tidying and meal prep / clean up. Once meal is ready and kitchen is clean, you would be done (likely 6 / 6:30'ish). The other responsibilities (e.g. groceries, errands, etc.) could be done at other times throughout the week if preferred. We also try to do a date night every week, which would be great to be able to re-start. We are open to discussing total number of hours per week as we can adjust responsibilities to accommodate desired hours to some degree. And we welcome an open discussion to better understand our situation and yours to work out a a consistent schedule that works for everyone. OUR IDEAL PERSON You need to have a high level of personal integrity that allows for trust between us, be positive, compassionate, be proactive and open to help us wherever is needed, and have ability to communicate openly when issues come up. Must haves include: - 3 years experience in a related family support role (e.g. nanny, au pair, family assistant, etc.) - Experience cooking healthy meals for families with younger kids - Well organized and experience cleaning - Ability to creatively and energetically engage with kids when needed - Non-smoker - Comfortable with a dog (small one) - Valid license and clean driving record - Safe, reliable vehicle (car) would be a plus, but not mandatory - Background and multiple references will be required WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
