Nanny Job in London, Ontario

We are looking for a part-time Mother’s Helper (with cooking, childcare and housekeeping responsibilities) to help us with the art of homemaking and caring for our 4 beautiful children, ages 9, 7, 3 and 1 year. We are a Christian home-schooling family and get readily attached to anyone who comes into our home. You will be treated as a valued member of our household. Job Description: everything a Mom might do to keep her home • 15-24 hours/week, 5-7hrs/day. Daytime hours between 9:30am and 5pm 4 days per week. Occasional weekends or evening hours only. The ideal candidate would be able to stay with us for at least a couple of years. • Hourly rate of $16 to $20/hour based on efficiency and skill set. • Housekeeping (basically what any mom needs to do to keep a house in order) • Cooking (knowledge of food safety, ability to cook and prepare food joyfully) position includes family meal preparation 2 to 4 times per week • Childcare (be energetic, friendly, give consistent and firm instruction, have a love of the outdoors, rain or shine, warm or cold) • Running errands occasionally • Help with organizing and tidying • Family laundry Requirements: • Excellent references and police check • Have your own transportation (we are not on the bus route) just West of London • Be in good health • Lots of experience with children of all ages, especially newborns and young children • Must be passionate and positive about homemaking and childcare • Have strong moral values (we are a Christian family with strong faith and commitment to raising our children with these values, honesty and integrity are a must) • Flexible, adaptable, be DETAIL ORIENTED and able to follow instructions well, this is an essential skill for our home • Gentle and kind, level headed in all situations • Consistently demonstrate food safety when handling and preparing meals and snack Assets: • First aid training (we would be willing to share cost of a course for the right person) • Not essential but an appreciated asset Bilingual (French or Spanish) We are learning how to grow veggies and flowers so gardening is an welcome asset as well.
