Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

We are a close family of 4 dog - Mum, Dad, 2 little girls aged 3 & 4, and a scruffy 2 year old puppy. We are looking for someone 2 or 3 days/week for 4-5 hours, possibly an extra day at times, to help out through March & April. This help may be baby sitting at home with our youngest girl and possibly a little light house work, or it could be playing taxi or tour guide for our older girl, we will need the flexibility to rotate this around. For some background information, our year had a terrible start when we found out our youngest has leukaemia; she has responded very well to treatments so far and is categorized as low risk, however it's a very long & bumpy path back to healthy. She requires a lot of attention at the moment, isn't walking on her own again yet, and while she has periods of activity is still generally inactive and often tired. This contrasts greatly with our older girl, who literally vibrates if she has to sit still for longer than 20 minutes, and no longer has a younger sister to keep her pretty much constantly entertained. Unfortunately these 2 states make it borderline impossible for anyone to manage on their own so my wife, who has always been a full time mummy for our girls, needs help. Our house is professionally cleaned weekly at the moment as we have to try to keep it as sterile as possible for the next few months (due to the immune deficiency with our youngest), so someone in very good health (with regards to illnesses etc) is necessary. We keep our children's diets healthy so an understanding of healthy eating is beneficial, and despite what is going on (or because of it) we need someone that can keep a positive outlook and happy demeanour.
