Nice to meet you! My name is Wendy. I am seeking care before school for six to twelve mornings each month in Riverside South (Ottawa) for 3 children ages 9-14 years old, and maybe some afterschool as well. At their age the kids do most of the work themselves, and your job is just to keep them moving on time to make the bus. My aim is to connect with a great caregiver with part-time availability. Hours would be 6:45am to 8:45am. The schedule would be set months in advance, and will be arranged based on your availability. I realize there arent a lot of hours, which is why we will pay $17/hour for someone with the right experience and qualifications. Also, you control the days you work, and we will modify to meet your schedule. We would prefer someone with their own transportation and the flexibility to stay late in order to drive a kid to school if they miss the bus. But there is an oc transpo bus stop within a 10 minute walk. We also have an excited lab puppy that will need your attention. She is still learning her manners, and will jump and chew on things she's not supposed to, so she needs to be always watched. She loves the daily 5-minute walk to the kids bus stop, and she definitely needs that energy burn off. After the kids are off to school, I'm asking for a caregiver that can stay for an extra 30 minutes to walk the dog, wash dishes, and help with general tidying of the house. My ideal caregiver would be someone who is patient and determined, with a vibrant and outgoing personality. Mornings are currently noisy and hectic, so I need someone that can help me find peace and order in our routines. You would be responsible for making sure the kids get on the school bus on time, and driving them if someone misses the bus. This includes encouraging them to eat something for breakfast, and making sure they are properly dressed for school. I'm also asking for kitchen clean-up and any other tidying up around the house, time permitting.
