Nanny Job in Okotoks, Alberta

Looking for a reliable, positive and outgoing individual part-time to help care for our 11 year old son that has special needs (Angelman Syndrome) and requires assistance with everything. He is extremely happy and easy to get along with. He loves life! He is non verbal, in a wheelchair and G-tube fed. Ideally we would like to find someone who has some experience in the following areas: tube feeding, changing, position changes and mechanical lift transfers. However we are willing to train the right individual with the willingness to learn. Starting as soon as possible. Hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 4:30 - 8:30 pm. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with us. Duties include keeping him engaged and entertained with reading/crafts/coloring/dance parties… etc. Feeding dinner and helping with personal hygiene care including changing / showering and getting him ready for bed. We would prefer to find someone looking for a longer term position to provide some consistency. There is a potential of turning into full time in the summer if wanted for the right individual. (Pet friendly home) We are located in Okotoks. Rate starting at $22-$25 / hour depending on experience. Police check is required.
