Nanny Job in Port Credit, Ontario

Hi, We have a need for a very flexible, fun loving and active childcare provider for our two boys, 4 & 7. Both parents are shift workers and we have variable schedules that change from month to month. Our childcare care schedule would include very early mornings, often requiring a start time as early as 4:45am, and would include end times as late as 2am . Some overnighting may be required on occasion, when both parents are on night shifts. Some months our needs may be several short shifts, while other months may be only 1 or 2 long shifts/month. The ideal childcare provider for our family will be able to communicate effectively in English, be very active, willing to transport the kids to and from activities, willing to go on bike rides, take the kids hiking and seek out activities and adventures. The Best person for this job will be patient, energetic, and creative in their handling of the children. Must be comfortable and competent in handling sibling rivalry and kids' dispute resolution. Must be willing to accept an additional two other children for playdate arrangements. Must have excellent problem solving skills as parents will be unavailable for contact during shifts. Must be willing to prepare and supervise meals. Must be prompt, have good time management skills, and creative, positive & enthusiastic when directing children to get ready to be on time for activities. Must be willing to tend to children's toileting, bathing, and wakeup/bedtime routines. Must be able to read and follow a daily list of activities, directions and tasks Must be flexible to accept an every changing calendar of shifts and childrens' activities. Must be capable and willing to supervise swimming. Must accept a direction of very limited device and tv time. Must have own transportation for arrivals and departures in the night. Discretion and respect for family privacy is expected. Care for the security of person and property is a must, ie: enforcing bicycle helmet safety , household door locking and password protection, etc. Must be honest, reliable, Must have clean Police check or be willing to get it. Must have clean driving record. Other certification an asset. Must be willing to care for pets as we have a small Shetland Sheepdog. Shifts available July 2017.
