Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

Hello Nannies,

I am looking for a full time nanny to work 4 days a week, beginning in April 2021. Your primary care will be for my 6 month old who will be 10 months at that time. This position will be an 8 month contract from April 2021 until the end of December, 2021. She will transition to daycare in Jan 2022.

From now (January) until April, we could also have you come part time / occasional, if you have flexibility. If so, its possible that you would also be looking after my toddler from time to time. She will be 3 in March of 2021.

I’m looking for someone to help me with light house keeping and meal prep. It's extremely important that my children spend a lot of time outdoors all year long so a natural gravitation to nature is preferred. We are looking for someone to be fully engaged with our children and extend our values; maintaining a calm, patient and loving spirit, cultivating their development through books, music, art and playful activities. Our toddler absolutely loves books so it’s important that our nanny is enthusiastic with reading and can help animate stories in a way that comes naturally. We’d like someone with good energy who enjoys crafts and who can initiate activities (crafts or otherwise) and who understands how to pivot if either child loses interest. It is vital that we spend as much time in nature as possible, that you are upbeat and have a genuine interest in care giving, that you can stoke the children’s imaginations and curiosities. You must be comfortable making meals and preparing snacks and can help tidy up after them.

Our preferred nanny would have :

— 5-10 years experience
— has a warm personality and isn’t shy with kids
— can think of engaging age-appropriate activities or crafts to experiment with
— is confident with CPR
— will support our efforts with potty training
— ECE is a bonus but not mandatory.
