Hi there! My name is Trisha Lee, I am a 30 year old woman who loves taking care of children and am looking for work as a nanny. I am CPR and first-aid certified and can provide references as well as a police check. I am fully vaccinated (since the summer of 2021), and Covid conscious. I went to school for social work and learned a lot about child development, especially while taking psychology classes. For the past 4 years I have worked in childcare for private families as well as in YMCA childcare centres. I have worked with toddlers as young as 16 months all the way to kindergarten-aged kids. Most recently, my work experience has been as an early education assistant with the YMCA (where I worked from 2018 to 2019) where I implemented ECE curriculum based programming for toddlers, preschoolers, and school aged children, focusing on social/emotional, cognitive, literacy, and physical development and skill acquisition. I have also taken care of younger infants while working for private families (16 months to 2 years) and am familiar and comfortable with diapering, napping, feeding, strollers, and bathing. No matter the age group, taking care of children is always so much fun and rewarding for me because I not only get to have fun with the children I take care of, I also get to watch them learn new things. I believe in attachment-style parenting and nurturing and am all about providing choices and allowing children to express emotions and receive the nurturing support and care they need.
