Takes vital signs; temperaturem pulse rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturation. Gives cleansing bed bath, tepid sponge bath. Responsible for changing bed linens. Gives oral hygiene and hair shampoo. Assesses charter of feces, urine and vomitus. Collects specimen i.e urine, feces, sputum, vomitus. Provide comfort and safety devices to patients. Transfer patients to another room or unit via stretcher or wheelchair. Assists staff nurses in nursing procedures. Maintains cleanliness of environment. Cares for the patient after death ( post-mortem care ). Charts assessment of the following : TPR, weight, frequency of urine and stool per shift. Provides and checks inventory of uni supplies every shift. Assists in receiving , distributing, and storing equipment, supplies and other items of use. Responsible for messengerial duties under the supervision of the nurse. Assists in the admission and discharge procedures of patient.
