This is a week on week off, salaried role in our Lynn Valley home. Approximately 80 hours/month. (flexible on less) Who are we? Single dad with twin 15 year old girls and a Bengal. One daughter has Autism - her care is your primary responsibility in this role. She will love connecting with you in cooking, neighborhood walks, bike rides (pulling her in a special needs trailer using our E-bike), drawing and painting. Her sister is a super gifted artist attending school in Langley - she will depend on you to pick her up from school everyday (her sister loves the car rides). Dad values deep human connection, expansive thinking, creative expression, & spiritual evolution. He will deeply appreciate your gifts of organization and creating consistent routines for the family. He runs his own business on the north shore - so is always just a 10 minute drive away. Who are you? Those that know you best would describe you as intuitive, responsible, consistent, graciously patient, spirited, playful, and confident. You’ve a knack for developing, implementing, and maintaining routine and structure, with nourishing, loving presence amidst the chaos. You know how to create a safe container, you value deep human connection, and appreciate all the colors of the human experience. You take pride in your ability to create a home space that is clean, organized, warm, and inviting and you recognize how impactful this can be for the emotional and mental well being of everyone within the space. Logistical Details 9:30am-5:30pm weekdays every other week, with LOADS of room for flexibility to honor the ebbs and flows and spontaneity of life - yours and ours. This is just a starting part - let’s chat about YOUR ideal schedule and hours! This might look like occasional weekend or evening respite/babysitting in lieu of weekday care as well as time off, or shorter workdays, to support you attending a workshop, or going on a trip. Key Responsibilities Loving, compassionate care for 15 year old daughter with Autism, including interactive and creative play, life skills development, routine support, and basic school studies Driving to pick up other daughter from school in Langley Meal prep and cleanup (Lunch, snacks, potential dinner prep) Light housekeeping Non-Negotiables Valid driver's license and clean driving record required to manage the daily school pickup in Langley. You may use our vehicle or your own (we will cover your gas/mileage.) Flexibility, flexibility, flexibility. Monthly salary / hourly pay negotiable - based on fit of values/personality more than specific experience (though having experience with neuro-diverse humans is a bonus!)
