Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

Position Summary: Professional couple looking for an experienced, attentive, and responsible caregiver to help look after our newborn and assist Mom with some light day-to-day chores. The position is part-time for Spring and Summer 2014 with the potential to extend. Located in central Toronto, less than a 5 minute walk to Bloor or Bay subway stations. We are ideally looking for someone 3-4 days/week in the mornings but can be flexible. *Driver’s License, Cooking, and Non-Child related household cleaning NOT REQUIRED. *Must be Dog Friendly (we have a very small dog) Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and ensure the safety & well being of the baby at all times - Feed, Dress & Bathe the baby when required - Place the baby down for naps and bedtime - Change diapers as required - Perform housework related to child care, including washing the baby’s clothes, cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, and washing bottles - Play & read to the baby - Teach the baby good social manners - Assist with occasional household errands such as grocery shopping or dropping off dry cleaning (both are within a 2 minute walk from the residence) - Possibly walk a very small dog when required (negotiable) Job Qualifications and Requirements: - Experience caring for a newborn - English Speaking - Reliable, honest, and trustworthy - Training in early childhood education a plus - First aid training and child and infant CPR a plus - Dog friendly - Authorized to work in Canada * Criminal Record Check & References Required.
