I am a 19 year old male from New Zealand with lots of experience working and interacting with young children. I have the following qualifications/certificates: - First Aid Comprehensive Plus Course Certificate - Full Driver's License - Foodsafe Experience: - From March 2017 til end of October 2017 I have been working as a camp counsellor at camp jubilee in Vancouver, BC. This involved instructing outdoor activities (such as, high ropes, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, archery etc.) to groups of up to 15 children in the outdoor ed seasons (spring & fall). In the summer i was a counsellor (or practically a parent to the kids in my cabin), being responsible for up to 8 kids at a time 5 days of the week 22 hours a day. My duties involved having to maintain their hygiene, happiness and general wellbeing. This involved sleeping in the cabin with my group, making sure the kids showered, ate, were hydrated and were all well prepared for their busy days ahead. I would take the kids to activities, games and run cabin time with them. I primarily worked with kids aged 5 - 9 years old. - I was also a leader at my church's holiday programme and youth group from the year 2011 to 2016. This involved being responsible for groups of children aged 5 to 12 during activities, games, crafts and free time. - I have 2 nieces back in NZ aged 2 & 5. During high school I would spend many of my afternoons and weekends hanging out with them, taking them to the park and occasionally looking after them.
