Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

We are looking for a mother’s helper / part-time nanny to come help watch my son (10 months old) so that my wife can have some time to do other things around the house. The job would include playing with my son, light meal prep for his meals, and cleaning up any messes he makes. The position is flexible but ideally it would be 2-4 hours in the afternoon for 2-4 weekdays per week (ie. 3-6pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday). As you can tell, our needs are flexible and it’s more important to us to find the right person who can interact well with our son and work well with our family. We are understanding and would work with you to find a schedule that works for all of us. A little about us, our son is 10 months and we also have a small poodle mix dog (13 pounds). We’re a few minutes walk from the Broadway and Cambie Skytrain station off the Canada Line so very transit accessible. I usually don’t get home from work until later, so the afternoon stretch is the hardest for my wife. Our son is a happy boy and full of laughs and smiles. He’s a bundle of energy, extremely curious, and loves crawling/exploring. We need an extra set of hands so that someone can be playing with my son while the other person sets up/cleans up meals and gets other stuff done around the house. This position would be great for a student who loves kids and is looking for some extra simple work. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with young children and full of energy to keep up with our son. We would love for someone to play with him, make him laugh, and keep him engaged/entertained. The ideal candidate would also be reliable, punctual, honest, and easy-going.
