Job Type: Full-time Salary: $14/hour Experience: 3 years (Preferred) with newborns and/or toddlers JOB TITLE: Nanny and Housekeeper (NOC 4411) POSITION DESCRIPTION Looking for a nanny for our 20 month old boy and our soon to be expecting new baby in May 2019. The nanny housekeeper will serve as a loving, nurturing and trustworthy companion to the children. . RESPONSIBILITIES • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children • Supervise the children’s activities at all times • Plan and prepare meals for the child • Dress the child • Place the child down for naps and bedtime • Perform housework related to child care, including washing the child clothes, cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, and leaving the house to the way it was pre-play. • Teach the children good social manners • Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors • Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, with the children • Discipline the children according to the methods requested by the parents. • Drive the children to and from activities and play dates. • Administer medicine to the children • Organize, activities such as games and outings for children; Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development; • Cleaning and tidying up the home if time permits • Walk dog once a day if time permits • Assist in meal preparation if time permits JOB QUALIFICATIONS • High school graduate • Experience caring for children • Car, driver’s license, auto insurance, and safe driving history • English proficiency • Reliable, honest, and trustworthy • Physical ability to care and entertain a young child • Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision Note: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
